What We Believe

As a congregation in the ELCA, we confess the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our understanding of the Triune God is enhanced through the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds. We also proclaim Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

We understand that there are many questions when it comes to faith and we encourage people to explore those questions, knowing that we don’t always have the answer.

As Lutherans, we also believe that we are saved by grace through faith, not works. More so, Martin Luther teaches us that “Faith is God’s work in us. It changes us and makes us to be born anew of God. This faith is a living, busy, active, mighty thing. It is impossible for it not to be doing good works incessantly. Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that believers would takes their lives on it a thousand times.”
