On the first Tuesday of every month, a group of quilters (approx. 10) get together for what is known as Stewardship Work Day. Those gathered work on quilts throughout the morning and into the afternoon.
One way that we help them continue to serve through the making of quilts is to serve coffee and lunch on the work day. Coffee and a small treat (muffins, bread, sweet rolls, etc.) is served about 9:30am. Then around noon lunch is served. Lunch can be any number of things including soups, sandwiches, hot dishes, etc. A dessert is also typical.
